Gilgit-Baltistan Police has issued a revised recruitment advertisement for the post of Corporal (BS-07) in the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), inviting applications from eligible male and female candidates domiciled in Gilgit-Baltistan. This recruitment follows the earlier advertisement dated 7 March 2026 to 31 March 2026 and covers a total of 457 vacancies on an open merit basis. Recruitment will be conducted purely on merit against these positions.

Post: Corporal (BS-07) — Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU)
Total Vacancies: 457 posts (Open Merit)
Eligibility: All districts of Gilgit-Baltistan
Age Limit: 18 to 23 years (age will be calculated as per the closing date of application submission)

Note on Age Criteria: For candidates who applied under the previous advertisement, the age criteria will be calculated as of 31 March 2026. For new applicants, age will be calculated as of 21 September 2026.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Matriculation from any recognized education board. Candidates possessing higher qualifications will be given preference. Candidates with a background in IT/Computer Science-related education will also be given preference.

Physical Standards

Male Candidates:

  • Height: 5'7"
  • Chest: 33 to 34.5 inches (with expansion)

Female Candidates:

  • Height: 5'1"
  • Candidates with driving skills will be given preference

Special Conditions for Ex-Servicemen

  • Candidates must be within 2 years of their retirement date.
  • All candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria in full.
  • The maximum age limit shall not exceed 40 years.
  • Recruitment of ex-servicemen against the reserved quota will only be conducted once every five (5) years, and this quota will not be extended beyond that cycle.

  • These vacancies are specific only to the Counter Terrorism Unit, Gilgit-Baltistan Police.
